The splitting headache that is currently making me wince is the result of a crippling hangover. It took me a very long time and trying some crazy remedies to figure out what works for me in hangover prevention and hangover cure which I’m now going to share with everyone lucky enough to stumble across MGR.
This article sets out how to prevent a hangover, and if that doesn’t go so well how to cure a hangover. You may be wondering if I know the secret of how to prevent a hangover then why on earth have I got one now? Well, its due to an out of town inpromtu evening that took me by surprise – with those suckers you haven’t got much hope but for weekly binge sessions there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Ok, so if your searching for hangover prevention techniques and cures then its safe to assume you’ve recently suffered one almightly hangover and you’ve hand enough.
So what is a hangover?
It’s important to remember that a hangover is made up of a few main parts. Dehydration, nausea and tiredness. The sum of all these parts causes the collective feeling of a hangover.
How to prevent a hangover.
I honed this technique of a number of years and this works best for me. Alcohol affects people is slightly different way (you can see that when you’ve been out all day with a few friends!) so change parts of this to suit you. This scenario is for when you know in advance that your going for a night out on the town.
- Before I go out I eat 2 hours before
- I get a glass of water ready, a evervesant vitamic c tablet, and 3-4 milk thistle tablets
- If you are prone to spuing in th morning then don’t eat before you go bed if you get in late. It’ll just sit in your stomach
- If you are irresistibly hungry, have soem slow release carb food that’ll release sugar slowly over the night.
- If i wake up in the night I take 2 paracetamols and go back to bed
How to cure a hangover.
Generally the above does the trick. The secret is the milkthistle tablets. They work an absolute treat and I’ve converted many a friend and they agree – so I’m not mad.
If you do have a hangover the only thing that works for me is allot of paracetamol and asprin and as that masking the affects of the previous nights booze, try a mid afternoon nap.
The extra few hours sleep, takes will perk up your energy levels and you’ll feel 100% better when you wake up.
